Peter Hollo began his musical career rocking semi-autistically to the record player in his kindergarden, and has never looked back. A classically-trained cellist and pianist, he gave that all up in the mid-’90s to take on the rock world with FourPlay String Quartet. His interest in experimental music, post-rock, electronica, freak folk and noise (collectively “postfolkrocktronica” – sorry) has led to an embarrassingly huge record collection which feeds into his 3-hour show on Sydney’s FBi, Utility Fog. He has been making music as Raven since 1997, traversing drill’n’bass, glitch, live looping/processing among many influences. By day he runs websites and pretends to know how to code.
Raven is featured on ‘New Weird Australia Volume One‘.
