William Gardiner is a 21-year-old Australian composer.

2009 has seen the relase of William Gardiner’s debut Onliving EP, which has been decribed by critics as “absolutely stunning…a bright beacon of things to come” (Mess+Noise), “absolutely a beautiful work…very delicate and way too short” (Vital Weekly) and “an excellent collection…a strong sense of grand sonic movement” (Cyclic Defrost).

William Gardiner currently attends the University of Sydney, where he is in the midst of the penultimate year of a combined arts (music)/law degree, during which he has studied with several of Australia’s most respected composers, including Matthew Hindson, Paul Stanhope and Anne Boyd. He has also studied at Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Michael Smetanin and Damien Ricketson.
